Toyota Yaris Safer Than Hyundai Verna

Toyota has upped the ante against the experienced players in the C-segment with the launch of its Yaris sedan.To start with, Toyota has loaded this car with 7 airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist as standard fitment across the variants which is mind blowing to say the least. Even the top end variants of Hyundai Verna, Maruti Ciaz and Honda City come with maximum 6 airbags. Further, the top end variants of Yaris gets hill start assist, front parking sensors, reverse parking sensors, vehicle stability control, tyr pressure monitoring system, auto headlamps, rear defogger, all-four disc brakes and speed sensing and impact sensing auto-door lock features. Other safety aspects include front and rear fog lamps, central locking and engine immobilizer. However, Toyota has initially launched the Yaris in petrol only variants, so it might take time to build up its place in the hearts of customers as diesel driven cars are still sold in high numbers. For now, it seems Toyota has done a pretty good job in terms of safety tech and with the growing concern for safety regulations in the country, Yaris will really change the parameters of choosing a family car. Rest, we have to just wait and watch how this car scores on the sales chart.
