?Drive? is the word that drives me crazy. It excites me more than anything else in the world. I have been driving for more than 10 years and my first stint was when we purchased Hyundai i10. But 2 years back I decided to get my own personal car since I have been badly hit by the driving bug all these years. Before buying, the key things in my mind were a powerful diesel engine, quality, style and involving driving. I read a lot of reviews based on these parameters and the only one that was fitting in my considerations was the Volkswagen Polo. So I finally decided to jump the gun and visited the showroom. At that time, the company was also offering cruise control, glove box and electrically adjustable ORVMs and instantly I thought ?that?s interesting?. And the most interesting thing was that we got a handsome discount of Rs. 50,000 due to VW diesel gate scandal. At least it worked in favor of me (kidding). And the driver-oriented test drive further sealed the deal.The 1.5L TDI engine roars to its true glory whenever I take this beauty on the road. Although, I do miss some features such as rear AC vents, parking camera, etc. but on driving parameters, the car excelled. The vehicle though offers mediocre performance in B2B city traffic, it?s an absolute highway cruiser. And believe me, at highways, it puts a big smile on your face when the turbo hits the 1,500 rpm mark. And that comes from the 89bhp engine that offers a strong acceleration. The suspension is a bit altered that helps it tackles bad roads quite easily. I would say the car is one of the best cruisers you will find in this price range. So far, over 20,000 on the odometer and I still enjoy driving my baby.
