Great for City Driving...and the Hills!

Had bought the Duster 85 PS after a lot of skepticism. The competition was primarily Ford Ecosport, and the Vitara Brezza initially. Both much cheaper, but with higher PS. So, on paper, the Duster shouldn't have been bought. Chose the Duster for the following reasons: 1. Kills the Ecosport and Brezza in the looks department. Road presence is great. 2. The Sandstorm edition had a lot of improvements over the regular Duster. Looks much sportier, has dual front airbags, and the new alloy wheels are superb. Much better package from Renault. 3. And my most important factor while buying a car - does it feel like my car? And the Duster seemed like my car after the first test drive itself. For 11 months, the car has been driven in the city. My office is 15 mins from my home. The city driving for a car this size is great. The gear ratios are great for stop and go traffic. I've just completed a 1500-kms road trip Delhi-Amritsar-Dharamshala-Delhi and the car was very well balanced on the highway and the hills. Mileage is around the 18kmpl mark. Lacks slight punch beyond the 100kmph speed but on Indian roads, that's okay. It's been a great car so far. The cons: 1. Factory fitted speakers are a little disappointing, and 2. The audio system, compared to what the competition is offering. But that's a minor cost to upgrade. Haven't had the 10k kms servicing done yet.
