Mercedes Benz India has officially introduced one of the most anticipated SUVs, GLA Class in India. It has also started to promote the vehicle with an action packed TV commercial, which grabbed the attention of numerous enthusiasts. The car maker has always opted for innovative ways of promoting its models, which can be seen in this video. In this short film, we can see, how this GLA Class is made, right from the beginning. This video indirectly explains that the manufacturer has opted for a special tactic to build this SUV in order to give it a masculine look. Under the hood, it is fitted with a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine, which is capable of producing 134.1bhp in combination with a peak torque of 300Nm. It is also available with a 2.0-litre petrol engine option that churns out a maximum of 181bhp, but the torque output is same as its diesel version. Both these power plants are mated with a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission gear box, which sends the torque output to its front wheels. This model series is bestowed with several advanced features like automatic climate control, cruise control with SPEEDTRONIC variable speed limiter and a rear camera with display on infotainment screen. It is also incorporated with seven airbags, which makes it the only luxury utility vehicle in its segment to have them.
