One thing that makes buying the ES300h worth it, is its ride experience. Whether in Eco or normal mode, the ES300h does the job so perfectly. While there is absolutely zero effort needed to overtake the front car on a highway in Eco mode, I prefer doing it in Normal mode for a more enthusiastic cross. The car is quiet to the core. It starts in electric mode and until 20kmph it stays in electric mode, making zero noise. Even when the petrol engine starts you don't hear the noise unless you decide to intentionally pick the sound. I would give full marks to the automaker for soundproofing.
