As I am a very adventurous person by nature, I usually travel and go on long distance trips with my family and friends. I desperately wanted a car that accompanies me on road as well as off road. I have heard about many SUVs and even tried some but was not satisfied at all. After searching for the perfect tough car for months, I came across Mahindra?s Bolero Power+. I have heard about this car before and when I came to know that it?s the best ?selling SUV in India, it really surprised me. The SUV gets the amazing body structure with powerful engine and off road capabilities with a no non- sense nature. I eagerly wanted to test drive the car so I went at Mahindra showroom the very next day. The SUV with the boxy design and amazing power made me surprised. Booking was done and the white color Bolero power Plus was delivered at my doorstep after short waiting period. The new Bolero Power+ gets changes on the outer and inner profiles that are hard to find. The exteriors remains identical to the older version, only taking a closer look one will notice that the front and rear bumpers are inward sloping now. New Mahindra Bolero Power+ is now a sub - 4m SUV and this is done to remove the huge excise duties implemented by the government. The benefit directly goes to the buyers as the new Power+ is whooping 1 lakh less than the bigger version. And the most talking point of this car is its length as it now falls under 4-meter length which means tax benefits of 18 percent and this clearly goes in the favour of the customer. The engine has also been replaced by the 1.5L mHawk diesel unit which produces 71PS and 195Nm of torque. These numbers might not be impressive on paper but the engine is truly incredible in terms of performance. There is excellent pulling power and if you drive it sedately, it will never disappoint you. The ride quality is compliant in cities while it does lose the comfort factor on wavy surfaces. Though interiors are crudely built, there are sufficient amount of features to keep you pamper the 7 seat layout is the best part of the cabin. The MID instrument gives you all the necessary piece of information including time and distance to empty, average fuel consumption, date and timed display door-open sign and gear changes indicator. Overall, my experience with the car is good and it's one of the best for adventurous folks. People who have the same instinct like me can opt for Bolero Power+ without considering any second option.
