If we see the price of Polo (On Road) Bangalore Rs 5,32,000 for Trendline variant, I feel this is really higher side compare to another car (eg Swift, i20, Punto, Figo). The trendline is the base variant with power steering, front power window and AC. Whereas Figo sells at Rs 4,12,946, Swift Rs 4,66,556. Punto Rs 5,05,000. Whereas i20 base model sells at Rs 5,76,355 and you will get a lot of feature like all four power window, tilt steering, 2din music system with a/c controller in steering. To get some of these features you need to sell out more money and need to go for next variant which will cost you Rs 592000 for Petrol. Next variant of polo won't get all features which have in the i20 base variant. So you need to spend another 50K to own this car for with most of the feature which i20 base variant has. The car has great European look and style. There is not much change from the previous version which we saw on road in Europe. It has enough boot space for weekend outings. Punto also has enough boot space Whereas Swift, FIGO is losing the battle in terms of boot space. But power wise polo struggles a little bit. Polo has 75BHP, whereas i20 has 85. Whereas on another hand Punto (1.2 active) 67, FIGO 71, Swift 85. Overall i20 has having edge over another car in terms of Cost, Features, Power. Very close to i20 is Swift. If you are a die hard fan of Polo, then simply go for it. After all, it is a European car which has a lot of past history and sentiment.
