Ignoreace of Safety on the name of safety feature

I have been using a ford vehicle for almost a decade now. Recently purchased Ford Ecosport but got to know about a feature after buying it where the safety is heavily compromised. The car door open from inside even when it's centrally locked from inside. This happened with me when one of my relatives was sitting at the backseat with her 10-11month old kid and he accidentally pulled the door opening lever and door opened up in running car. First I thought I did not centrally lock the car but happened even after locking the car from inside. When the issue was raised with Ford dealer Ford in Pune they first gave deaf ears later after 2 months I highlighted the issue to Ford India but did not get any satisfactory answer. All they are saying is this is a safety feature but my point is How come opening a door in running a car is a safety feature in fact it is ignorance of safety while designing the feature. I earlier had Ford Figo and in that, at least door lever uses to go inside and to open the door that lever needs to be pulled twice, but now in new models, the lever just needs to be pulled once in running car and door is opened. So now you can decide how safe is this safety feature as mentioned by Ford.
