Very Good ಕಾಂಪ್ಯಾಕ್ಟ್ ಎಸ್ಯುವಿ

I always wanted a rear-wheel drive jeep with a 4x4 option. After looking at the available products int he market, I zeroed on to the Mahindra Thar. This meant compromising with my requirements but was worth it. Just when I was about to make a buying decision, Mahindra came out with the TUV100 and almost fulfilled my expectations, except for the 4x4 feature which I had to compromise with. Though the TUV100 is not a very well powered vehicle but it still manages to deliver a comfortable drive in the city and has a decent highway performance as well. It even climbs on steep hills and inclines comfortably, while carrying a moderate payload. The AC is quite effective even in the third row. The 360-degree exterior view for the driver is excellent, given that this is an SUV and gives a safe drive.  One shortcoming that I noticed was when you try to drive out of a parking space in reverse, it fails to pull back over even the slightest of elevation. Though only two such incidences happened, but they made me understand that the 'mighty' TUV100 should be parked in reverse if the surface is uneven.  Overall, the car is 99 per cent perfect in city driving, especially on Indian terrains. Off-roading is a strict "NO" for a TUV100. If you get stuck in gravel/slush in a TUV100, I bet you won't be able to pull it out without a tow-truck.
