  Q.

  I'm looking for a new compact SUV in the 13-14 lakh range and I've shortlisted Kia seltos HTK+ and Duster 1.3l turbo ZX since they seem to fall within the same range. In terms of cabin features Duster seems to offer allthat Seltos offers plus comes with turbo engine. So I'm inclined toward Duster. I'd really appreciate it ifyou could weigh in with your thoughts

  Kia’s Seltos is a vehicle you can’t go wrong with. Because of its high wow factor, it will attract a lot of attention. More importantly, it backs it up with a solid and sensible personality too. The space in the cabin and the comfort on offer makes it very practical for all occupants. However, it just misses out on hitting the bullseye for a few small niggles like the seat base cushioning. For now, it’s clear that the Kia Seltos has set the benchmark in the segment, not by being dramatically different, but by being better in most areas. on the other hand, overall, the Duster has started to feel old when it comes to interior design and fit and finish, and it also lacks the wow features. But even now the Duster does feel appealing thanks to its rugged styling and phenomenal ride quality. If you want to buy the Duster for daily office commutes and occasional highway driving then we would suggest going for the 1.5-litre engine variants of the car as it has enough power and is a much better proposition. If you love driving then you should definitely consider buying the turbo version. The powerful and refined petrol motor makes the Duster fast and exciting to drive and it also adds a layer of sophistication in an otherwise simple SUV. You may compare both cars accoridngly.   Hi, I am planning to buy an suv, my budget is 12L(on road price), is it wise to buy duster 1.5 petrol now at2020 or Creta Ex variant, which costs around 12.8(on road) but it doesn’t have rear wiper & rearcamera, which I think is very important..( whether rear camera & wiper can be fitted in after market)

  There is nothing wrong to choose Renault Duster. It's still a great looker with an updated interior along with a very robust mechanical package. It is a capable and practical SUV. If outright performance is not your priority and looking for a spacious, comfortable car with a good feature list at a price, you may go for Renault Duster. On the other hand, Hyundai Creta get modern and polarising looks, better ride quality and better interior too. If we talk about EX variant, if you are looking for a petrol-manual variant, this variant is the base model and offers decent value for money. You may compare both cars accordingly.
