E Verito D4 ವಿಮರ್ಶೆ
The Mahindra eVerito takes a traditional diesel powered sedan, and turns it into a zero-emission family car at an affordable price. Launched in June 2016, the eVerito is available in 3 variants, i.e. D2, D4 and D6, all priced very close to each other. The eVerito D4 is the mid-range variant and is offered at a price of Rs 9.75 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi, as of May 6, 2017).
While the price premium over the base D4 is fairly small, the added kit certainly makes it better value. On the outside, for example, the steel wheels are replaced by alloys, while the front grille gets a chrome bezel. The side body cladding is also colour matched to the exterior paint shade, while the wing mirrors can be electrically-adjusted.
The safety kit is consistent throughout the range, and while all variants get a digital immobilizer, auto door locks and height-adjustable seatbelts, airbags and ABS have been given a miss. Inside, the biggest change is the addition of a 2-DIN audio system with USB/AUX inputs. If you are getting the eVerito, the D4 is worth considering as it gets some useful features. Not only does it look better, it is also more practical.
The eVerito is powered by a 3-phase AC induction motor. With a power output of 30.5kW and a peak torque of 91Nm, the sedan can hit a top speed of 86kmph. Supplying the motor with electricity is a 200Ah lithium-ion battery that needs 8 hours and 45 minutes to reach a 100 per cent charge. With the battery juiced up, the eVerito can manage a travel range of around 110km.
The Mahindra eVerito has no direct rivals, but falls into the same price range as popular executive sedans and compact SUVs.
