Excellent Car With Adequate Space

I must tell you that Honda has done an amazing job with the Jazz. It was earlier launched in 2012 and now in 2016, it's easy to figure out the difference between the two models. Both are very different to each other in many aspects - boot space, leg space has increased and head room is also huge. The looks and quality of the interior is very nice. The car looks great and feels premium. It is also safe and feels composed while driving. It comes with Honda Connect and many more features. The car has sporty looks and is a good head-turner in the city. Some people even asked me whether the car is a seven-seater? LOL :p Thanks to its crossfade design which I personally love, the car really stands out in the crowd. Most of the C-Segment mid-size sedans look dwarf in front of Jazz's massive and impeccable looks. There is opulence of comfort once you get inside the Jazz. You feel you are in a big car and not a hatchback. Honda stands true to its words. "MAN MAXIMUM, MACHINE MINIMUM', Which liberates acres of space inside the cabin. Even in the top-spec complete black trim, it doesn't feel cramped at all. Kudos to Honda engineers. Comfort is also good during long journeys. Features: Well, although it comes with great new features like the touch AC panel, Honda Connect(optional) and electrically foldable ORVMs (very useful in day to day drive), it Misses out few basic features like the engine start/stop button. Common Honda, even the Hyundai i10 comes with that feature. The Other one is rear AC vents. The DRLs are also missing which should have been there, but you can get after-market accessories for that. Talking about the practicality front, the Jazz is Just unbeatable, You get 12 pockets and cup holders which are extremely handy when you are driving out with family. The one placed right in front of the AC went cools the water bottle efficiently, which is very handy in these summers. Great work by Honda :). I have test driven all the Engine options, i.e, 1.2-litre (P)M, 1.2-litre (P)CVT and the 1.5-litre (D)M. The diesel has a great punch. The petrol manual lacks the punch at low RPMs but as soon as u reach a decent speed, its fun to drive. It's impeccable at top speeds. Very stable and solid like a Merc. Yes, you read it right.. LIKE A MERC!!. The CVT, although a pleasure in city traffic, but is not fun to drive at all. Even the Paddle shifts don't improve the driving pleasure. Plus the CVT doesn't come with the VX top end variant. Handling is very comfortable. The steering is light in the city and weighs up perfectly once you reach a decent speed. Ride quality is just superb which one would not expect from a compact car. It's more comfortable than its elder sibling, the Honda City, which has a rough ride comparatively. Yes, you could notice this difference easily if you drive both these cars back to back. I saw the 1st gen Honda Jazz for the first time in an AutoExpo. I was impressed by its massive looks and sheer presence. That moment itself I knew that this is going to be my first car. It was love at first site with the Jazz :). I felt insane though when I heard about the Price. It was Rs 9 lakh. But as the time passed, I realised its true potential. It's not for all, but just for a niche segment of buyers. It's for people like us who go all the way to pay that extra buck for a unique car, which is versatile in every front. Honda says it well -NOTHING ELSE IS A JAZZ :).
