OVER HYPED AND OVER PRICED CAR
Well, It is a good move by Maruti to introduce Jimny. But when the pricing was announced people like me took a back for a moment. Base model almost 15 lac on road. Thoughts came around that this Suv has a different charm, so pricing is on the higher side. Drove the car, felt like driving a hatchback in an SUV body. Offroad performance is decent but RWD SUVs can offer the same with a more powerful 2.2-liter engine(Drive Scorpio N, Safari base model just after this). The seats are good but lack long-distance comfort. The legroom and headroom are not decent enough. ( Mauruti should learn from Mahindra Bolero, Bolero Neo, Tata Nexon, and Punch all are sub 4 meters). Driving in the city is easy and is a capable off-roader. But at this price point is it worth buying? I think a big NO. Moreover, it is a four-seater! No doubt, Maruti has done great work by launching this but the question remains Why is Jimny in this price range? Do we have any other options? Well, for the answer to these questions, buyers have to ask themselves.
