Quanto C6 ವಿಮರ್ಶೆ
Mahindra and Mahindra achieved huge success with its previous offering, Mahindra XUV 500. The SUV went on becoming a true winner in the Indian car market. Now the company is here with the compact version of its victorious Mahindra Xylo. The new offering from this firm is Mahindra Quanto C6 , which has been jam-packed with some very impressive features on the inside along with a strong and strappy engine installed under the bonnet. The engine fitted by Mahindra and Mahindra in the new Mahindra Quanto C6 is 1.5 litre of diesel motor that is capable of producing high power of 100BHP along with crest torque of 240NM. The five speed manual transmission united with the diesel motor makes the car to deliver a remarkable mileage that would keep your monthly budget under complete control. On the inside, you will find spacious and roomy space for the passengers. The features here are inspiring that puts in a lot of effort and make the ride in Quanto very comfortable and delightful. Even on the safety front, the car is not a downer. The responsive braking system provides a total control to the driver during the driver and the anti-lock braking system would prevent the wheels from locking up when instant brakes are applied. Dual airbags for the driver and front co-passenger are not present in this model. Overall Mahindra Quanto C6 is a great product from Mahindra and Mahindra, which is accompanied by a very decent and affordable price tag.
Exteriors
By the looks of Mahindra Quanto C6, you would certainly say it is a true mini version of Mahindra Xylo. The company has done a lot of hard work in making the exteriors of the car very appealing and alluring. Dimension wise, the car is bigger than Maruti Ertiga, and the reason behind this the bulky stance and the classic roofline. The clear headlamps on the front are very similar to that of Mahindra Xylo and are accompanied by the typical Mahindra grille. The bumper here is nicely done along with the fog lamps that have a bit circular shape. On the side, the Quanto features body colored ORVMs incorporated with turn indicators, chrome finished door handles and 6 spoke alloy wheels giving the car a true muscle. Coming to the rear end of Mahindra Quanto C6, the car has so much resemblance with its elder brother, Xylo. The tail gate has spare wheel mounted on it, along with tail lights that has been positioned neatly. The rear bumpers comprise of multi-reflectors and the high mounted stop lamp is present for the safety.
Interiors
The Mahindra Quanto C6 interiors are very impressive and if cabin space is compared, it is much bigger than that of Maruti Ertiga. Inside you will find contemporary interiors, which not only amplify the lavishness of the car, but also enhance the comfort level for the passengers. This s even-seater car gives wider room for all passengers and the front cabin with dual tone dashboard provides a very chic style here . The central console has many features for the convenience. The instrumental cluster comprise of speedometer, digital clock and other stuff. The adjustable driver’s seat with a higher stance provides the driver a better visibility of road.

Talking about the comfort of the new Mahindra Quanto C6, the car is loaded with numerous sophisticated features. The car comes with 2-Din music system with AM/FM radio and USB and Aux-in interface . The voice control function along with Bluetooth connectivity is very elegant. The cigarette lighter, retractable cup holders, driver side armrest and digital drive assist system are the major highlighting features . The car also comes with dual AC with climate control, electrically controlled ORVMs and rear parking sensors. Engine and Performance
Under the bonnet, the brand new Mahindra Quanto C6 has been powered by a 1.5 litre of diesel engine . The engine is extremely dynamic and fuel efficient . This diesel engine has the power and capacity to churn out peak power output of 100BHP along with producing maximum torque of 240Nm. the trusted five speed manual transmission has been coupled with the engine to give it the push to generate an impressive mileage figures. The Mahindra Quanto C6 is successful fuel economy figures of 13kmpl on the urban roads to 17.3kmpl of mileage on the super smooth highways . Performance-wise, Mahindra Quanto C6 is a true performer on-road. The car gives a superb driving experience to the driver as the acceleration and pickup of the car is quite inspiring. the car catches up a nice top speed and goes from 0 to 100kmph in just few seconds .
Braking and Handling
The braking and handling of Mahindra Quanto C6 is quite good. the responsive braking system here comprise of disc brakes for the front and drum brakes for the rear that has become traditional for most of the SUVs and MPVs in town. The anti-lock braking system is another adds on to the brake system here , which averts the wheels from locking up in case the immediate brakes are applied. The handling of the car is enhanced with the presence of great suspension system and power assisted steering wheel. The steering wheel here makes sure that the handling of the car becomes easy for the driver.

- A Failed Experiment.Seeing the successful journey of Xylo, Mahindra seemed to be experimenting it in micro family class. But the confused designers have made me think that is it a SUV, a hatchback or a cross-over? This car has a capacity of seven passengers but no one can sit on those rear jump seats. Interiors are disappointing and it seems like a chopped Xylo from outside. A 1.5 ltr 1453cc diesel engine gives mileage of just 17kmpl on highways which is not enough to satisfy a micro-family person. The ride is very uncomfortable on rough Indian roads. It seems like there are no suspensions in any wheel. This declines it being a family car. But for a family of four to five members, it has quite enough space and height. I am using this car for last four years and it hardly goes for any maintenance except for changing Mobil-oil or small repairs. So its a maintenance free ride. You can rely on it for long and safe journeys. Quanto is priced between 7 lac to 8.56 lac and it completely satisfies its value for money tag. - Worst car and Worst service!Myself Tushar Patel from Ahmedabad, Gujarat. I had purchased Mahindra Quanto model C-8vehicle in 23-OCT-2012, from "Punjab Automobiles (India) Private Limited". I have always given this car for service on regular basis. Before that, I had a Maruti Wagon R and used till 4 yrs and sold it. So, no chance about my driving skills. In Nov-2014, I had an issue with the car and gave to Punjab Automobiles and they said having issue in engine???? Wow, I think all car segments having an Indicator alert before when any issue arises in the engine but this car never and we had no choice at that time. I had also asked for the warranty, but it's already expired and I asked service manager to repair engine and solve all issues and then ask for warranty for 2 yrs for engine but at that time they said why do you want to extend, after repairing the engine, we will give 6 months warranty. After 6 months, you can extend it, no need for now. Now what happens, my car also have an issue like water leakage issue from the radiator. This issue we already faced when the engine had an issue. So I asked for warranty before 6 months completion so now they are not agreed to give extended warranty. So now I am afraid for this car again. To avoid confusion, I was thinking to show this car to the different service center for a better solution. So for diagnosis, I binged my car to "Sheetal Motors" at 25 July 2015 and they said in your car have a radiator issue, you have to change it. But I have already changed the radiator on 19-Jan-2014 but again the same issue. So I again went to Punjab Automobiles and those guys said, the car radiator is okay but heating coils have an issue, so you need to change that and charges will be around 12,000 INR. Wow! what rubbish things are going on???? What I have to do??? Who is correct, Sheetal Motors or Punjab Automobiles??? There are only 2 service centers in my city. So I am really confused about it. Seriously this car gave me too much headache, nobody answers to me even when I ask customer care but never get any single reply. So please do not buy Mahindra's car. - Quanto A Big Failure - Please Don't BuyI am driving Quanto C8 from last two years and feel that I have been cheated with a worthless product. The car is not at all smooth to drive. The company has not tested the car before launching. In last two years, I have experienced 5-6 major breakdowns. Every time a breakdown occurs, I convince myself that probably this is a one-off and nothing will happen in future. But the car has some genuine problems with the turbocharger, shaft, gear box. Body paint is pathetic, unlike Maruti cars which do catch scratch marks so easily. I will advise not to buy this car and regret later. I also read a number of reviews before purchasing this car, but none of the reviewers had driven it long enough for me to consider. The company should take back the sold units and compensate to improve reputation. - Ultimate SUV (Value for money) (MADE IN INDIA)Look and Style: Good looking and comes with pretty decent style. Comfort: Best legroom and is very spacious to be in. Pickup: I have driven Quanto around 20k; Ultimate pickup even on highways or on hilly roads. Never feels lack of power. Mileage: Nowdays I am getting 15-16kmpl (after running 10K;AC on/off) in city.
