Mahindra and Mahindra has recently introduced the updated version of its electric vehicle 'e2o' in the country. However, technical updates have been given only to its top end Mahindra e2o T2 trim. This trim is powered by the same 3 phase induction motor, which can now produce a total mileage of 120 kilometers in one full charge. In addition to this, this variant is also equipped with an advanced electric power steering system, which makes handling easier. This top end variant is equipped with an advanced infotainment system featuring navigation, DVD player and connectivity for iPod and Bluetooth devices. In addition to this, it also features a 'My Car' function, which analyzes the car's performance, keeps a track of battery statues and the distance you can cover. It is a two-door hatchback, which can host seating for four passengers. This vehicle looks stylish from both inside and out as its gets trendy cosmetics like any other petrol or diesel model. There are number of utility features provided inside like storage box, door armrests and head restraints, which adds to the convenience. This electric vehicle is available with a warranty period of 3-years or 60,000 kilometers, which is good.

Exteriors:

As said above, this vehicle has a trendy body structure that is skillfully equipped with conventional cosmetics. Its front facade is fitted with a large hexagonal shaped grille that is engraved with company's insignia. It is flanked by a swept-back styled headlight cluster that is powered by projector headlamps and turn indicators. Its front bumper has a distinct structure, which has a provision for incorporating round shaped fog lamps. Its bonnet has two expressive lines, which further adds to the elegance of its frontage. The car maker is offered this vehicle with a total of six exterior paint options including Spanish Red, Sunfire Yellow, Eco Green, Ocean White, Coral Blue and Arctic Blue.

Interiors:

The interiors of this Mahindra e2o T2 trim is done up with a dual tone color scheme, which is further accentuated by aluminum inserts. Its cockpit has a black dashboard with textured finish, which is equipped with aspects like a storage compartment, a center fascia, and a stylish instrument cluster. Its central console is further integrated with an infotainment system along with an AC unit. The steering wheel has four spokes and is neatly decorated with the company's logo. The seats are quite wide, well cushioned and have integrated head restraints, which provides excellent support all the way from neck to thighs. This electric engine is mated with a fully automatic transmission gearbox that helps to provide a stress-free driving experience. This updated version has the ability to reach a top speed of 81 kmph, which is quite good for city commuting. It takes 5 hours, 10 minutes for a full charge, which enables the vehicle to deliver a mileage of 120 kilometers.

Braking and Handling:

The car maker has paired its front wheels with a set of ventilated disc brakes and coupled its rear wheels with sturdy drum brakes, which works fine in all weather conditions . As far as its suspension is concerned, the front axle is equipped with McPherson strut that is further loaded with anti roll bars. While the rear axle is coupled with trailing link suspension system in combination with coil springs. Both the axles are further loaded with gas filled shock absorbers, which further improves this mechanism. At the same time, this trim is now integrated with an electric power assisted system based on rack and pinion, which provides precise response and makes handling simpler.

Comfort Features:

This Mahindra e2o T2 is the top end variant in its series, which is integrated with advanced equipments. Its dashboard is incorporated with an infotainment system featuring a touchscreen display that also supports GPS navigation. Furthermore, it has a DVD/CD player with MP3 playback, port for iPod device and support Bluetooth connectivity . It is also integrated with a proficient AC unit that can be operated remotely using a specially designed mobile application. In addition to these, it features a parking assist system featuring sensors and a rear view camera with display on infotainment screen. Apart from all these, it has list of features including hill hold assist, keyless entry featuring start/stop function, electric wing mirrors, a driver information system and one touch foldable seats.

Safety Features:

This vehicle has a high strength steel frame including crumple zones that keeps the car protected from impact and provides safety for the occupants inside. It is also integrated with an immobilizer device that safeguards the vehicle from theft or any unauthorized access. At the same time, it gets some crucial safety aspects including ISOFIX child seat mounting with ALR rear seat belt, adjustable head restraints on all seats along with gearshift and charge interlocks, apart form these, it has powerful projector headlamps, dual horn, third brake lights and reflectors, which adds to its safety quotient.
