Tata Motor Group has produced some stylish sedans, hatchbacks and utility vehicles that are fuel efficient and fitted with trustworthy engines. The Tata Winger series is one of their popular people's mover, which is available in two variants. Among its trims, Tata Winger Platinum BSIV is its top end version. It is integrated with a 2.0-litre TCIC (turbo charged inter cooler) based power plant that has a displacement capacity of 1948cc. It has the ability of generating a maximum power of 90bhp in combination with 190Nm torque output. It is cleverly coupled with an efficient 5-speed manual transmission that helps in smoother gear shifts at all times. It has a fuel tank capacity of 60 litres, which is quite good for planning longer journeys. The internal cabin of this maxi van has the capacity of accommodating seven passengers with ease. It is integrated with three cylinders and twelve valve using double overhead camshaft based valve configuration. This turbocharged inter cooler power plant has the capacity of churning out a maximum power of 90bhp at 4300rpm in combination with a commanding torque output of 190Nm between 2000 and 3000rpm. It is incorporated with a common rail based direct injection fuel supply system, which allows the vehicle to produce a maximum mileage of 10.71 Kmpl on the bigger roads and around 7.35 Kmpl on the traffic laden city roads. This diesel motor is skilfully coupled with a five speed manual transmission gear box, which sends the engine power to its rear wheels. It allows the maxi van to attain a top speed that ranges between 120 to 125 Kmph and can accelerate from 0 to 100 Kmph in nearly 19 to 20 seconds.

Braking and Handling:

It is bestowed with a vacuum assisted hydraulic service brakes that are quite reliable. The front and rear wheels are fitted with a robust set of discs along with twin pot caliper and adjusting type drum brakes with LSPV (load sensing proportion valve). On the other hand, its front axle has a McPherson strut along with a coil spring and the rear one is assembled with a double parabolic leaf spring type of system. There are also hydraulic telescopic shock absorbers affixed to the rear axle, which will help it to deal with all the jerks caused on uneven roads.
