Maruti Wagon R Is An Overall Nice Package

I had a Maruti Alto and was looking forward to buy a second car but within 4 Lacs. I thought to buy Wagon R initially only because of its low price tag only and went for a test drive to get some basic idea on how the car performs. I still remember it was a Cherry coloured car that the executive brought to my house for the test drive. The colour impressed me there and then and I made up my mind for buying a Wagon R in the same colour. The moment I got inside the car, two things struck me instantly which included the spacious interiors and amazing pick-up. I was used to sitting in an Alto, and Wagon R was much spacious when compared. The leg room and head room is simply outstanding, I mean one can't ask for more. There was one point that I could not notice while on the test drive, but it struck me later and that was the inappropriate side grille that restricts one's vision while on turns. Another irritant that I could not decipher on the test drive was that if the car is taken on speed-brakers at a high speed it automatically comes in neutral, which if unnoticed can cause blunders. The gear-shift and driving control is great. The interiors are very simple with the basic accessories placed at the expected spots, no innovation as such. I also did not find the AC very effective as it takes at least 20 minutes for the car to get at a comfortable temperature. The driver seat is very comfortable with easy to access controls and offers the correct posture. I have been to Manali, Chandigarh, Agra, Dehradun in my Wagon R till now and it offers a great drive on highways. I have got a dual fuel option and LPG is a real cost savor. All in all the car is superb for an average Indian family and is a complete value for money option.
